A Morris Dancing side based in Chester, Cheshire, England.
On this site you will see a very small sample of what we do. Most of the team have been dancing for over 50 years, and at our pinnacle of age and fitness we could rank ourselves amongst the elite. Age is taking its toll, and we are on a recruitment drive. If you are interested in dancing the Morris, then please get in touch.
We are almost halfway through the year, and we have already danced in Chester City Centre and for the St George’s Day celebrations. We also performed again at the Chester Folk Festival who were celebrating their 50th anniversary. We danced at the first festival and with a few exceptions, every year since.
Our latest performance was on Sunday 1st June.Due to a few age-related issues, we cannot give dates for other performances at the moment. We will try to keep this site updated as and when details are finalised.
We have been dancing in public since 1972 and quite honestly, we have enjoyed every performance; thankfully our audiences have too. We perform the style of “North-West Morris”, which as the name suggests originating in Cheshire and Lancashire. Our outfits are colourful, and we dance in clogs (Leather uppers, wooden base with horseshoe like iron soles).
